Anaheim: Three Injured in Semi Accident

Shortly before 1 p.m. on Monday, June 6^th, three people were injured in a semi accident in Anaheim. The crash was triggered when the driver of a Honda Ridgeline ran a red light at the intersection of Miraloma Avenue and Miller Street and crashed into a Fresh Foods Concepts truck, the impact sending it into several parked vehicles and a pedestrian. Both drivers and the pedestrian suffered moderate to serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals, explains an Orange County truck accident attorney. 

Anaheim accounted for 2,129 of the 18,867 fatal and injury motor vehicle traffic accidents that occurred in Orange County in 2009, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. That year, Anaheim placed 4^th out of 13 cities with similar populations for traffic safety. OTS calculates its rankings according to the number of victims or collisions per 1000 residents in a city; the higher the number of either, the higher the ranking, with a ranking of 1 being the highest, or worse.
