Assault at California Bar causes lawsuit.

In Huntington Beach California, a man is suing Huntington Beach Beer Co., after being punched in the face.  He alleges that the owner of the bar is responsible for his injuries becasue the bouncers saw another bar patron hit him and didn’t do anything to stop it.  The patron alleges he did nothing to provoke the attack.

California law requires a business to provide a safe environment for their patrons if they know or should have known that this type of behavior would cause injury.  The facts of the assault are not known in detailyet, but liklily, there are more factsa bout other incidences and occurrences, placing the bar owner on notice of this type of occurrence.  The fact that bouncers were present suggests that security was needed at this location and the failure to properly train and implement safety is also a reason to find liability against a bar owner.
