Shortly after 6:40 a.m. on Monday, November 12, two people were injured in a semi crash on the 91 Freeway in Buena Park. The collision occurred in eastbound lanes east of Interstate 5 and involved a gold Toyota pickup, a semi, and a white utility truck, the impact leaving the latter two vehicles on their sides. Emergency responders transported the injured to an area hospital. Authorities are investigating the crash.
“After a collision, those who were injured may hold the negligent party liable for the expense of their recoveries,” explained an Orange County truck accident lawyer, “such as for medical bills, lost earnings, and pain and suffering.”
Buena Park accounted for 5 of the 71 fatalities and 537 of the 17,031 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in crashes that occurred in Orange County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Large trucks were involved in 5 of the fatal and 537 of the injury collisions that occurred in the county that year.
