On Wednesday, May 1, six people were hurt in a crash on the I-15 in Corona. The collision, which involved four vehicles, occurred on the northbound side of the freeway near Highway 91. The accident blocked all lanes on the transition road from the northbound I-15 to the westbound 91. The crash is under investigation.
“Those who are injured in motor vehicle collisions in California may file civil claims against the negligent driver in order to obtain compensation for their recovery-related expenses,” explained a car accident attorney in the state.
Corona accounted for 4 of the 164 fatalities and 924 of the 10,594 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in crashes that occurred in Riverside County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. The California Office of Traffic Safety compares the accident statistics of cities with populations of a similar size, giving those with the poorest records the highest rankings, with 1st place considered the worst. That year, Corona ranked 48th out of 53 cities for the number of fatal and injury accidents that occurred there.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the six people who were hurt in the I-15 crash.
