A car accident left two teens injured in Fontana, reported The Press-Enterprise. According to witnesses, the silver 1997 Honda Civic in which the teens were riding was speeding south on Beech Avenue before striking the center median south of Summit Avenue, slamming into a tree, and rolling over. Emergency responders transported the 16-year-old driver and passenger to the hospital. Witnesses are asked to contact the Fontana Police Department at 909-350-7700.

With a population of 198,842, Fontana was the location of 618 fatal and injury car accidents in 2011, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. Drivers under the age of 21 were involved in 9 of the crashes that resulted in death or injury, with the OTS ranking Fontana 31st for such accidents in a comparison of the crash data of 55 cities with populations of between 100,001 and 250,000.

After a car accident, those who were injured may pursue compensation for the cost of their recoveries through the personal injury claims process. For more information, please call 888-752-7474 or contact us online.
