At about 3:34 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014, four people were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Fontana, reported The Press-Enterprise. While traveling northbound at 60mph on Sierra Avenue in a black 2006 Ford Escape, 36-year-old Mauricio Alexander Argueta, of Rancho Cucamonga, ran a red light where the street crosses the 10 Freeway and rear-ended a Nissan Altima that was waiting at a red light at the intersection of Sierra and Valley Boulevard. Emergency responders transported the driver of the Nissan, an adult passenger, and two children, ages 11 and 4 months, to the hospital. Argueta fled the scene on foot but was later apprehended at an apartment in Rancho Cucamonga and arrested.
