Fountain Valley: Two People Injured in Car Accident

At around 5:20 p.m. on Monday, August 15^th, two people were injured in a car accident in Fountain Valley. The crash occurred when a 91-year-old Santa Ana woman traveling northbound on Brookhurst Street veered her Buick Le Sabre into oncoming traffic, striking a southbound Ford F150 pickup truck. The impact caused the Buick to rollover, seriously injuring the woman. The 21-year-old Santa Ana man who was driving the truck also suffered trauma. They were both taken to local hospitals. Investigators have requested that anyone with information about this crash contact the Fountain Valley Traffic Bureau at 714-593-4481, explains an Orange County car accident attorney. 

Fountain Valley accounted for 511 of the 18,867 fatalities and injuries that were suffered in motor vehicle collisions throughout Orange County in 2009, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current data. The OTS compares the traffic statistics of cities with similarly sized populations. Those with the poorest records rank the highest, with 1^st place being the worst. That year, Fountain Valley ranked 1^st out of 104 cities.
