Fullerton Woman Arrested For DUI Crash That Injured 3

A 20-year-old woman drove into a light pole and injured both her passengers in a Fullerton drunk driving accident.
 
The Orange County car crash occurred at about 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 14 near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Brea Boulevard.
 
Andrea Palacios of Fullerton and two of her friend had spent the night drinking in downtown Fullerton. The driver was under the influence of alcohol when she ran into a light pole.  Her two passengers were injured. A 21-year-old woman from Anaheim was airlifted to Long Beach Memorial Hospital in critical condition.  A 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in an ambulance in serious condition. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
 
After Palacios was discharged from the hospital, she was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
 
Last year six people died in three DUI related accidents in Fullerton.  There were also 28 injury collisions and 117 non-injury collisions in which alcohol or drugs were a factor. Overall, there were 984 DUI arrests in Fullerton last year.
