At about 8:20 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 21-year-old motorcyclist Devin Bossiere was fatally injured in a crash in Rancho Cucamonga. The driver of a Toyota Sienna turned south onto Vineyard Avenue from Hemlock Street and into the path of Bossiere, who was riding north on Vineyard Avenue at the time. He suffered serious injury from the collision and was taken to an area hospital, where he was declared dead at 9:25 p.m. Authorities are investigating the accident.

“When a motorcyclist is fatally injured in a collision, his or her family may file a wrongful claim against the negligent party in order to obtain compensation for their loss,” explained California motorcycle accident lawyer James Ballidis.

Rancho Cucamonga accounted for 6 of the 180 fatalities and 605 of the 11,050 injuries suffered by motorcyclists in collisions that occurred in San Bernardino County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Motorcyclist fatalities increased 15 percent from 352 in 2010 to 414 in 2011 in the state.

All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of Devin Bossiere, the motorcyclist who was fatally injured in the crash.

The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin originally reported this Rancho Cucamonga collision.
