Shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, a fiery car crash occurred in San Bernardino that ultimately claimed the lives of four women, reported The Press-Enterprise. While traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Fifth Street near Waterman Avenue, the driver of a tan 1997 Toyota Camry tried to pass another vehicle, swerved into the opposing lanes of traffic, and lost control of the car, causing it to collide with the corner of a bridge and plummet 20 feet down a wash. The car burst into flames, killing two women who were trapped inside. Two other women were thrown from the Toyota. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders transported the fourth woman to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries a short time later. The women who died at the scene have been identified as Germany Brizick Lee Willis, 24; Kristy Marie Orti-Medina, 36; and Joy Terri Doss, 24. Authorities are not releasing the name of the fourth victim until her family has been notified.
