Shortly after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, one person was killed and another was injured in a car accident in San Jacinto. The two-vehicle collision occurred on the Ramona Expressway at Lyon Avenue. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead at the scene and transported another to a hospital. Authorities are investigating the crash.
“After a fatal crash, it may take authorities several weeks to complete their investigation,” explained California car accident lawyer James Ballidis, “during which time, the family of the victim may not be able to obtain details about the crash that claimed the life of their loved one.”
San Jacinto accounted for none of the 164 fatalities and 132 of the 10,594 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in crashes that occurred in Riverside County in 2010, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Collisions that occurred throughout the state claimed 2,715 lives that year, 11.9 percent fewer than in 2009.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to offer our condolences to the family of the person who was killed in the car accident. We would also like to wish a full recovery to the person who was injured.
