On Wednesday, April 24, five people were injured in a head-on collision in Santa Barbara County. The two-vehicle crash occurred on East Highway 246 between Buellton and Solvang. Emergency responders transported three occupants from one vehicle to an area hospital for trauma ranging from minor to major and two occupants from the other vehicle to another local hospital for minor injuries. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
“When vehicle occupants are injured in a collision, they may pursue personal injury claims against the negligent driver in order to be compensated for the expense of their recoveries,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis.
Traffic accidents claimed the lives of or caused injury to 2,510 people in Santa Barbara County in 2010, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. The OTS ranked Santa Barbara 35th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury collisions in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the five people who were injured in the head-on collision.
