Shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, nine people were injured in a car accident involving entrapment in Ventura. Two vehicles collided at the corner of Darling and Wells roads, the impact causing one vehicle occupant to suffer major trauma and the others to sustain injuries ranging from moderate to minor. Emergency responders extricated all of the victims from the wreckage. Paramedics transported them to local hospitals. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
“When vehicle occupants are hurt in a collision, they may hold the at-fault party liable for the cost of their recovery,” explained California car accident attorney James Ballidis, “including for medical expenses, lost earnings, and pain and suffering.”
In 2010, traffic collisions in Ventura claimed the lives of or caused injury to 391 people, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. The OTS ranked Ventura 35th out of 53 cities for its incidence of fatal and injury collisions; 1st place is the worst a city may receive.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish the nine people who were injured in the car accident this morning a full recovery.
