5/16/2012At about 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15th, a woman was injured in a car wreck involving entrapment in Ventura. The collision occurred near the intersection of Loma Vista Road and Victoria Avenue when another vehicle broadsided the car in which the woman was a front-seat passenger. After being extricated from the wreckage, she was transported to a local hospital, as was a man who suffered minor injuries in the accident.
“When vehicle occupants suffer trauma in a collision, the at-fault driver may be held liable for the expense of their medical treatment and recovery,” explained California personal injury lawyer James Ballidis.
The city of Ventura accounted for 2 of the 50 fatalities and 471 of the 4,259 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in collisions throughout the county in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Comparing 56 cities with populations ranging in size from 100,001 to 250,000, the California Office of Traffic Safety ranked Ventura 33rd for fatal and injury crashes in a rating system in which 1st place is the worst a city can receive.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the woman and man who were injured in the car wreck involving entrapment.
The Ventura County Star originally reported this crash.
