At about 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014, a car crashed into an apartment building, injuring two people in Winnetka, reported the Los Angeles Times. The accident occurred in the 2000 block of Saticoy Street. It was not indicated as to whether the victims were in the vehicle or the building. Authorities are investigating the crash.
The California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current crash data indicate that 72,593 people were killed or injured in accidents that occurred in Los Angeles County in 2011. The OTS compares the accident records of the state’s 58 counties, giving those with the poorest records the highest rankings, starting with 1st place. That year, Los Angeles ranked 9th for its incidence of fatal and injury collisions.
