Request for production in trip and slip and fall cases.

Whenever a person is involved in a slip or trip and fall, the question of the condition of the property is paramount to the success of the case.  Therefore, it is important to request several documents from the defense.  First, you should request any photographs of the defect or defects where you fell.  Many times, for instance, a supermarket will take photographs of the condition of the property at the time of the fall.  You should also request copies of photographs and incident reports of other incidences that occurred at that location or in that generalized area.

It's always worthwhile to inspect the property, even if the repairs have been done.  A lot of evidence can be uncovered by looking at the actual property and the repair that was done.  Sometimes, a repair has never been done, and then it's important to inspect the property to preserve the condition and how that condition contributed to your fall.

It is also useful, just as in an automobile accident case, to request copies of witness statements, copies of medical records the defense has obtained from your doctors, and copies of any billings and/or reports of doctors who have reviewed your bills.
A request for production is an important, integral part of any slip  or trip and fall case on property and should be submitted during the litigation process.  If you need assistance with your slip and fall or trip and fall case, please contact and experience Orange County personal injury and accident attorney at 866-981-5596.
