Beaumont: Two Injured in Crash

At about 12:13 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, two people were injured in a crash in Beaumont, reported The Press-Enterprise. While traveling eastbound on Sixth Street, a white Mazda did not stop at the intersection with Xenia Avenue and collided with a white Ford truck that was heading northbound. Emergency responders transported two people to the hospital. The accident is under investigation.
Seventy-one people were killed or injured in crashes that occurred in Beaumont in 2011, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. The OTS ranked Beaumont 77th out of 94 cities of a similar size for its incidence of fatal and injury accidents. Across the state, 2,816 people lost their lives in collisions that year.
