Brea: Two Injured in 57 Off-Ramp Semi Crash

At about 9:24 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014, two people were injured in a five-vehicle crash involving a semi on a 57 Freeway off-ramp in Brea, reported the Orange County Register. The crash occurred at the exit for Imperial Highway when a semi collided with a white Ford Mustang and then swerved to the right and hit three other vehicles. The crash sent a silver pickup off the road and into a chain-link fence. Emergency responders transported two people to the hospital to receive treatment for minor to moderate injuries.
Motor vehicle accidents claimed the lives of or caused injury to 283 people in Brea in 2011, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. The OTS compares the crash data of cities with populations of a similar size and ranks those with the highest incidences of fatal and injury accidents the worst, starting at 1st place.
