Corona: Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Highway 91

At about 11:41 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014, a motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Highway 91 in Corona, reported The Press-Enterprise. The rider of a Harley Davidson collided with a car in the westbound lanes west of McKinley Street. Emergency responders transported the rider to an area hospital. Authorities are investigating the accident.
In 2011, 367 people were killed or injured in traffic accidents that occurred in Corona, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. Three of the victims were motorcyclists. The OTS ranked Corona 53rd out of 55 cities with populations of between 100,001 and 250,000 for its incidence of motorcycle crashes resulting in injury or death; 1st place is the worst possible ranking.
