Dodger Stadium: One Killed, Two Injured in Rollover Crash

Shortly before 8:15 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014, one person was killed and two were injured in a rollover crash near Dodger Stadium, reported the Los Angeles Times. A white sport utility vehicle overturned in the 800 block of West Academy Road. One person was fatally ejected. Two others were injured. Authorities are investigating the accident.
The California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current crash records indicate that 72,593 people were killed or injured in motor vehicle collisions in Los Angeles County in 2011. Los Angeles ranked the 9th worst in the state for its incidence of collisions resulting in injury or death. Across the state, traffic fatalities increased 1.5 percent, from 2,816 in 2011 to 2,857 in 2012.
