At about 1:03 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, 38-year-old Adriana Caceres was fatally injured in a semi crash in Fontana, reported The Press-Enterprise. The 48-year-old driver of the semi ran a stop sign at the intersection of Production and Santa Ana avenues and crashed into the driver’s side of the vehicle Caceres was driving. Emergency responders transported Caceres and her 5-year-old daughter to the hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries. Caceres succumbed to the trauma she suffered a short time later. The driver of the truck was not injured. Authorities are investigating the accident.
