Fullerton: One Injured in Rear-End Collision on 57 Freeway
Posted on Jun 04, 2012
At 8:40 a.m. on Monday, June 4th, one person was injured in a rear-end collision on the 57 Freeway in Fullerton. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes when a Chevrolet van that failed to decelerate for slowing traffic slammed into the back of a Toyota Corolla, the impact pushing the car into a Volkswagen Beetle, which, in turn, struck a Hyundai sedan. Paramedics transported the driver of the Corolla to a local hospital.
“When vehicle occupants are hurt in a crash, they may seek compensation from the at-fault driver for expenses associated with their recovery,” explained an auto accident lawyer in Orange County.
Fullerton accounted for 7 of the 101 fatalities and 890 of the 16,620 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in traffic collisions that occurred in Orange County in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. Comparing the accident statistics of 56 cities with populations ranging in size from 100,001 to 250,000 residents, the California Office of Traffic Safety ranked Fullerton 7th for fatal and injury collisions that year.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the person who was injured in the rear-end collision this morning.
