Fullerton: Two People Injured in Car Crash

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. yesterday, two people were injured in a car crash in Fullerton. The accident was triggered when a Honda Accord struck a utility support pole near Bastanchury, causing it to fall onto a GMC Yukon and a Ford Expedition. The two sport utility vehicles collided as a result. Both drivers sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, explains an Orange County injury lawyer. 

Nationwide, 24,474 vehicle occupants lost their lives and 2,011,000 were injured in traffic accidents in 2009, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s most recent accident statistics. That year, the California Office of Traffic Safety recorded 883 fatal and injury accidents in Fullerton. Overall, traffic fatalities decreased by 10 percent in California from 2008 to 2009.
