Highgrove: Several Injured in I-215 Crash

At about 7:56 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014, several people were injured in a crash in the unincorporated area of Highgrove, reported The Press-Enterprise. The collision, which involved at least six vehicles, occurred on the northbound side of the freeway north of Iowa Avenue. Emergency responders transported several people to area hospitals. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
The California Office of Traffic Safety indicates that 10,924 people were killed or injured in traffic accidents that occurred in Riverside County in 2011. The OTS ranked Riverside 53rd out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury crashes in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst. Statewide, 2,857 people were killed in motor vehicle collisions, 1.5 percent more than the year prior.
