Huntington Beach: Crash Involving Lotus Exige and BMW Injured Two

At around 10:40 p.m. last night, two people were injured, one seriously, in a crash involving a Lotus Exige and a BMW 330ci in Huntington Beach. While making a northbound left turn onto Newland Street, the driver of the BMW collided with the Lotus, which was traveling west on Yorktown Avenue. Paramedics transported the drivers to a local hospital. Authorities received conflicting accounts of the accident from witnesses and have requested that anyone with information call 714-536-5666, explains an Orange County injury lawyer. 

In 2009, traffic crashes claimed the lives of 33,808 people and injured another 2,217,000 in the United States, a 9.7-percent decrease in the number of fatalities recorded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2008. During this same period of time, traffic fatalities declined by 10 percent in California, with NHTSA recording 2,816 deaths in the state.
