Irvine: Car Accident Injured One

At 6:43 this morning, authorities received a report of a car accident on Jamboree Road near Walnut Avenue in Irvine. Two Toyotas, a Tacoma and a Camry, collided, striking the center divider. One person was injured and taken to a nearby hospital, explains an Orange County auto accident attorney.
Traffic accidents claimed the lives of 24,474 vehicle occupants and left another 2,011,000 injured in 2009, the most recent year for which the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA, has released crash statistics. Nationwide, the agency found that traffic fatalities had dropped by 10% from 2008.
