Jurupa Valley: One Seriously Injured in Semi Crash
Posted on Jul 14, 2012
At about 12:52 p.m. on Friday, July 13th, one person was seriously injured in a semi crash in Jurupa Valley. The collision between the semi and the passenger vehicle occurred at the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue and Bellegrave Avenue. The occupant of the passenger vehicle required extensive extrication prior to being transported to a hospital to receive treatment for major trauma.
“A collision between a large truck and a passenger vehicle occupant can result in serious injury to the occupant, as the impact tends to be greater due to the size and weight of the truck,” explained California truck accident attorney James Ballidis.
Traffic accidents claimed the lives of 172 motor vehicle occupants and injured another 10,963 in Riverside County in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. That year, large trucks were involved in 14 of the fatal and 297 of the injury collisions that occurred in the county.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish a full recovery to the person who was seriously injured in the semi crash yesterday.
The Riverside County Fire Department originally reported this crash.
