Montclair: Two Injured in Semi Crash on 10 Freeway

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18^th, two people were injured in a semi crash on the 10 Freeway in Montclair. The incident involved a semi that had struck the center divider and burst into flames and at least one other vehicle. Paramedics transported the truck driver and an occupant from the vehicle to local hospitals. Hazardous materials teams worked throughout the night to clean up fuel that had spilled in the accident, with the freeway reopening around 6:30 this morning, explains a California personal injury lawyer.

Montclair accounted for none of the 192 fatalities and 355 of the 10,983 injuries suffered by motor vehicle occupants in traffic accidents in San Bernardino in 2009, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System. That year, large trucks contributed to 29 of the fatalities and 410 of the injuries suffered in the county.
