Moreno Valley: Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Truck

Shortly after 7 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014, a motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a truck in Moreno Valley, reported The Press-Enterprise. The collision occurred at Cactus Avenue and Old 215 Frontage Road, north of March Air Reserve. The rider, who was trapped under the large-boxed truck, died at the scene. Authorities are investigating the accident and have asked that anyone with additional information about it call traffic investigators at 951-486-6900 or after hours at 951-776-1099.
Motor vehicle collisions claimed the lives of or caused injury to 795 people in Moreno Valley in 2011, according to the most current accident data available from the California Office of Traffic Safety. Twenty-two of the victims were motorcyclists. The OTS ranked Moreno Valley 34th out of 55 similarly sized cities for auto collisions and 36th for motorcycle accidents in a rating system in which 1st place is considered the worst.
