Moreno Valley: Three Injured in Crash

At about 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, three people were injured in a crash in Moreno Valley, reported The Press-Enterprise. The collision, which occurred at the intersection of Iris Avenue and Nason Street, involved two vehicles. Firefighters had to extricate two of the occupants. Emergency responders transported the three accident victims to local hospitals, two of them to receive treatment for major trauma.
According to the California Office of Traffic Safety, 795 people were killed or injured in motor vehicle collisions that occurred in Moreno Valley in 2011. The OTS compares the number of fatal and injury crashes that occur in cities with populations of a similar size, giving those with the most accidents the highest rankings, with 1st place considered the worst. That year, Moreno Valley ranked 34th out of 55 cities.
