Motorcycle rider killed in La Habra Left Turn Accident

A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died at the scene of a La Habra motorcycle-car crash.
 
The Orange County motorcycle accident occurred at 5:22 p.m. on Monday July, 11, 2011 at the intersection of Euclid Street and Country Hills Drive in La Habra.  The motorcyclist was on one of two motorcycles vehicle traveling south of Euclid.  A car traveling north on Euclid started to make a left turn onto westbound Country Hills and cut in front of the motorcycles.  One motorcyclist was able to avoid a collision, the other crashed into the car. The driver, Bryan Hodges, 20, of La Habra, died at the scene from his injuries.
 
Hodges was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
 
The teenage driver of the car was unharmed. No one else was involved in the accident.  Drugs and alcohol did not contribute to the crash.
 
The California left-turn motorcycle accident is still under investigation.  Police are trying to determine who had the right of way.  No charges have been filed.
 
The driver, a licensed juvenile, was alone in the vehicle and not injured. Authorities determined that no alcohol or drugs were involved and no arrests have been made.
