Even though a pedestrian victim is left at the scene by a hit and run driver, recovery for damages is possible, but only if you know where to look.

Needles man is killed as a pedestrian by hit and run driver.

Posted on Feb 09, 2010

On January 30, 2010, Cody Rodenbucher, 17 years old and a resident of Needles, California, was struck and killed as a pedestrian by a hit and run vehicle.  The accident occurred at approximately 4500 Ramsee Street in Banning, California.

Pedestrians frequently are the victims of auto accidents and it would surprise you the number of drivers that flee from an accident scene.  Simply because the victim's assailant fled does not mean that further investigation and/or recovery is possible. A qualified pedestrian accident attorney should be consulted.  For instance, there may be coverage offered by the victim’s own auto insurance.  Contact made by a vehicle that flees, will qualify for uninsured motorist coverage.  Additionally, further investigation may lead to the identity and coverage of the driver.  Our office has previously located a suspect that fled the scene because he feared losing his job.  Since he was on the job at the time of the accident, our investigation lead to a claim against a Million Dollar policy of insurance for the severe injuries of the client.

If you or your family has been the victim of an auto accident, contact a qualified pedestrian accident attorney to advocate your rights.  Call us at 866-981-5596 for a free consultation.
