Nuevo: Armand Roux Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash

On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, 93-year-old Armand Roux was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Nuevo, reported The Press-Enterprise. The collision occurred at the intersection of Nuevo Road and Reservoir Drive at about 10:38 a.m. Roux was pronounced dead at about 10:54 a.m. Emergency responders transported two people to the hospital. Witnesses, or anyone with information about the accident, are asked to call the California Highway Patrol’s Riverside-area office at 951-368-9567.
Throughout Riverside County, 10,924 people were killed or injured in motor vehicle collisions in 2011, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current records. In a comparison of the crash statistics of 58 California counties, Riverside ranked 53rd for its incidence of fatal and injury collisions in a ranking system in which 1st place is considered the worst. Statewide, 2,816 people lost their lives in crashes that year.
