One Dead, Four Injured in Head-on Collision In Anaheim

Five cars were involved in a high-speed accident that left one driver dead and another critically injured.
 
The Orange County car accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August  5, 2011 at the intersection of Ball Road and  Magnolia Avenue in Anaheim.  Fifty-one-year-old Dellene Burgeson of Anaheim woman was driving a black Lincoln westbound on Ball Road.   She was travelling at a high rate of speed when she crossed the divider and plowed into incoming traffic. She crashed into a silver Mazda and overturned. 
 
There were four people in the Mazda. The driver of the Mazda was airlifted to Western Medical Center in critical condition.  He is expected to survive.  His wife sustained a fractured arm.  Two children sustained minor injuries.  They were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
 
Another moving vehicle and two parked cars were also damaged in the accident, but no additional injuries were reported.  Police are investigating the cause of the Anaheim car crash.
