Ontario truck accident leaves four dead.

Saturday, February 13th, 2010, four people were killed in a multi-car and semi-truck pile up on the 15 freeway in Ontario, California. 
 
The California highway patrol reported that two children and two adults were killed at the scene when their car was sandwiched between two tractor trailers. The car also caught fire on the southbound portion of the freeway. There were other persons injured at the scene as well.
 
The cause of the accident has not be released, but there were a number of cars involved in the collision.
 
Tractor trailers are particularly dangerous and cause death to those that are impacted by them because of their sheer mass and the violence of impact. A thorough investigation into the cause of their deaths should be undertaken by an experienced investigator, the California highway patrol special investigation team, and investigators hired by the family. Many times, the cause of an accident is not fully known until the investigations are conducted, including the interview of witnesses, obtaining physical evidence, and interviewing the drivers that were involved in the accident, who can give a statement.
 
My condolences to the family of the four that were killed in the pile up. We hope that the family is guided to an experienced truck accident attorney who can hire an investigator to provide the answers they so desperately will no doubt seek to locate the cause of this tragedy.
 
It is expected that the California highway patrol will release more details of their investigation in the weeks to come. But in the meantime, tragedy will leave a family devastated.
