Pacoima: Drunk Driver Caused Wrong-Way Freeway Crash
Posted on Aug 29, 2011
Shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 27th, a drunk driver caused a wrong-way crash on the 5 Freeway in Pacoima. While traveling south in the northbound lanes, he collided with a truck and several other vehicles, seriously injuring four people. The man suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities are investigating the accident, explains a California personal injury lawyer.
Los Angeles County accounted for 31,087 of the fatal and injury motor vehicle traffic accidents that occurred throughout the state in 2009, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. The OTS compares the accident statistics of counties with similar populations, ranking those with the poorest records the highest. Placing 1st is considered the worst. That year, Los Angeles placed 1st out of 13 counties with similar populations.
All of us at Allen, Flatt, Ballidis, and Leslie would like to wish the four people who were injured in the wrong-way freeway crash caused by the drunk driver a full recovery.
The Los Angeles Times originally reported this Pacoima accident.
