Pedley: Vehicle Struck, Killed Pedestrian

Shortly before 5 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in the Pedley community of Jurupa Valley, reported The Press-Enterprise. The accident occurred at Van Buren Boulevard and Limonite Avenue. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the accident.
Jurupa Valley accounted for 4 of the 153 fatalities and 207 of the 10,025 injuries that were suffered in motor vehicle accidents that occurred in Riverside County in 2011, according to the California Highway Patrol’s most current crash data. Two pedestrians were killed in accidents in Jurupa Valley and 12 were injured. Throughout Riverside County, traffic accidents claimed the lives of 36 pedestrians and caused injury to 353.
