Rain brings over 500 accidents to Los Angeles and Orange County California

Posted on Dec 14, 2009

Recent rains caused a significant uptick in accidents, over 500 in the last week alone.  Can you avoid an accident?  Here are some safety tips from other authors and from our other posts.

Avoid an accident caused by hydroplaning.  Southern California roads are particularly "slippery when wet".  Also you can bet that others are not going to be safe, so follow these safety tips.

Turn your lights on so oncoming traffic can see you and never use cruise control in hazardous weather conditions.
Bridges, overpasses and less travelled roads are always more dangerous and are a frequent cause of hydroplaning becasue of the change in surface. Keep your eyes open to danger ahead of you as this California injury lawyer notes.

Lastly, if you are faced with an accident, follow these guidelines for recording and protecting your accident information.
