Shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014, 45-year-old Jose Luis Cordova was killed and five others were injured in a crash in San Bernardino, reported The Press-Enterprise. While traveling eastbound on 5th Street in a 2001 Acura, 21-year-old Mario Muro ran a red light and collided with the driver’s side of Cordova’s 2009 Chevrolet pickup truck, which had been heading northbound on Arrowhead Avenue at the time. The impact caused the pickup truck to roll over. Emergency responders transported Cordova to an area hospital, where he died. His wife and young child were seriously injured and also hospitalized, along with three others who were in Muro’s vehicle. The accident is under investigation.
