San Jacinto: Two-Vehicle Crash Injured Three

At about 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in San Jacinto, reported The Press-Enterprise. The collision occurred at South San Jacinto Avenue and East Menlo Avenue. Emergency responders extricated one of the victims who was trapped and transported all three to the hospital. The accident is under investigation.
The California Office of Traffic Safety’s most current crash statistics indicate that 145 people were killed or injured in collisions that occurred in San Jacinto in 2011. The OTS ranked San Jacinto 36th out of 94 cities with populations of between 25,001 and 50,000; 1st place is the worst possible ranking. Throughout California, traffic fatalities increased 1.5 percent from 2,816 in 2011 to 2,857 in 2012.
