Sherman Oaks: One Killed in Crash

At about 2:15 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, at least one person was killed in a crash in Sherman Oaks, reported the Los Angeles Daily News. The accident occurred at the intersection of Beverly Glen Boulevard and Beverly Ridge. Authorities closed Beverly Glen Boulevard while they investigated the crash.
In 2011, the most recent year for which accident data is available, 72,593 people were killed or injured in traffic accidents that occurred in Los Angeles County, according to the California Office of Traffic Safety. The OTS ranked Los Angeles 9th out of 58 counties for its incidence of fatal and injury accidents; 1st place is the worst ranking a county may receive.
