Truck accident in Orange County kills one and hospitalizes four.

A recent Fullerton crash highlights to dangers of truck accidents on the road.  A 18 wheeler “for unknown reasons” struck a car and caught on fire, killing the driver and injuring 4 others in a collision on the 57 freeway near the Brea mall.  How the accident occurred has not been released or determined at the time of the release of information.
The reality is that truck accidents have deadly consequences, far more deadly than auto collisions for the same offenses. 

Recently I have written about texting by truck drivers, poor training and other causes of accidents involving trucks.  When the trucking industry tells us that texting is a needed communication for dispatch reasons, instead of a hands free phone, I would point to this accident as an example of the devastation caused by truck accidents.  The severity of likely injury is justification for denial of any rights to distract a truck driver.
