West Los Angeles: Two Injured in Crash Involving Three Cars and a Bus

At 11:30 a.m. this morning, two people were injured in an accident involving three cars and an MTA bus in West Los Angeles. A 70-year-old man was seriously injured, while a woman in her 30s sustained non-life-threatening injuries; both were taken to nearby hospitals. The accident occurred in the 8700 block of Olympic Boulevard and Robertson. Authorities do not believe anyone on the bus was harmed, explains a California injury lawyer. 

In 2009, traffic accidents claimed 33,808 lives and resulted in 2,217,000 injuries, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA. That year, collisions between buses and motor vehicles in transport caused 139 fatalities and 9,000 injuries.
